We operate our four cargo vessels in a worldwide trading area. Due to their efficient size and experienced crews our vessels are particularly suitable for cargoes that need a direct transit from load- to discharge port, or special care and attention from the crew. We have over 20 years of experience transporting all kinds of cargoes, ranging from very heavy objects to delicate cargoes, including class 1 dangerous goods.

In 2009 WIND started the recovery of the 8,000 km long SAT1 cable which runs from South Africa to Portugal. Our mv Lida, specifically converted for this purpose, retrieves the cable from water depths of up to 7,000 meters.

WIND is ready and able to recover subsea cables in any place worldwide. We have mobile cable recovery units available that can be installed on any of our own or chartered vessels. Where necessary we convert our vessels to DP. We work according to ICPC (International Cable Protection Committee) standards and in close communication with owners of neighbouring cables.

Besides cable recovery WIND also offers route cleaning and pre-lay grapnel runs.

WIND specialises in the transportation of subsea cable. The vessels in our fleet are particularly favorable for this type of work due to their relatively wide holds, worldwide trading area and crews with extensive experience with this type of cargo. In addition, whenever project requirements exceed the specifications of our own ships, we select, charter, equip and manage on behalf of our clients a suitable vessel from our large network of acquainted ship owners.
